Job summary

H.E.B.'s Central Market is seeking a Production Specialist with availability to include days, evenings, and weekends to handle the freshest quality ingredients. You will work under direct supervision, applying basic and some advanced skills in procedures, techniques, tools, materials and equipment relevant to the area of specialization.

Responsibilities include mixing, baking, wrapping, stocking, quality control, sanitation, and customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience with commercial production preferred.
• 1+ year experience in food preparation required.
• 2-5 years related experience.

Responsibilities

• Mix, shape, bake, wrap and stock products.
• Ensure quality control before sales floor.
• Maintain department sanitation.
• Organize back storage, freezer, walk-in and production area.
• Read and execute daily production list.
• Calculate weights, discounts and volumes.
• Provide customer service and take orders.
• Monitor quality and shrink.
• Order and receive products and supplies.
• Maintain transfer records.
• Prep, wrap, price, sell, and stock products.
• Demo or prepare customer samples for self-serve.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Use suggestive selling to maximize sales.
