Job summary

MGM Resorts International is hiring a Cashier/Server at Borgata in Atlantic City, NJ. You will create an inviting guest experience with a warm smile and exceptional service, taking ownership of each guest's experience to craft WOW memories.

Responsibilities include taking and fulfilling orders, handling cash, maintaining cleanliness, stocking products, labeling per safety procedures, and supporting opening/closing duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must be able to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• At least one year of experience as a food handler in a high-volume restaurant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take and place order, and serve and garnish food and drinks efficiently and accurately in work area as applicable.
• Collect money, while following all proper cash handling and comp procedures.
• Maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and the appearance of the front and back of house, clear tables and counters; sweep and maintain the cleanliness of the dining area without interfering with the comfort of guests.
• Pack and complete order as per guests' preference with any necessary condiments.
• Properly label and date products per safety and sanitation procedures.
• Perform opening and closing duties based upon shift assignment.
• Unload warehouse orders and stock the orders to designated storage maintaining organization, stock and replenish products as needed in work station, counters, tables, etc.
• Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise, refer the matter to management, notify supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft.
• Perform other job-related duties as requested.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Required to work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
• One year of experience as a food handler in a similar, high-volume, fast paced restaurant preferred

Pay Rate:

The rate for this role is:

$23.06

This rate represents a good faith estimate of the wage rate that MGM reasonably expects to pay for the position upon hire.

Pay will not be below any applicable minimum wage.

Should overtime be worked, employees are paid overtime pay in accordance with state requirements.
