Job summary

Aerotek in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Brazer for a contract-to-hire role focused on brazing copper piping and metal assemblies with precise heat, filler materials, and inspection of joints. You will read drawings and specifications to ensure high-quality joints that are leak-proof and durable.

The position reports to a production team in a warm indoor facility with four 10-hour shifts (6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Mon–Thu).

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of brazing experience.
• Experience joining copper piping using brazing techniques.
• Ability to perform leak checks on refrigerant circuits, including pressure testing and evacuation.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, work orders, and detailed instructions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare metal components and copper piping for brazing, ensuring alignment and securement.
• Perform brazing operations on copper piping using torches, induction heaters, and furnaces to achieve proper temperature.
• Join copper piping and metal components with brazing techniques to create strong, leak-proof joints.
• Conduct leak checks on refrigerant circuits, including pressure testing and system evacuation.
