Job summary

Baseten is seeking a Web Designer / Design Engineer to own baseten.co from concept through production. You’ll design and build landing pages, bring product launches to life, run experiments, and drive conversion while raising the site’s quality bar.

This high‑ownership role sits between brand design and frontend engineering. You’ll ship with autonomy and partner closely with brand, product marketing, engineering, and leadership on major launches.

Qualifications

• Fluency in modern frontend development including React, Next.js, HTML, CSS and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Ability to move from Figma into production code.
• Deep attention to typography, layout, interaction, and responsiveness.
• Experience building reusable components and design systems.
• Comfort experimenting and using data to improve site effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Own the design and frontend implementation of the Baseten marketing site.
• Ship landing pages, product pages, launches, and campaigns from concept through production.
• Continuously improve the site and seek opportunities for enhancement.
• Collaborate with growth and product marketing to test messaging and layouts.
• Build polished interactions, motion, and details that reflect Baseten's brand.
• Develop components, patterns, and design systems for rapid iteration.
• Translate complex technical products into clear web experiences.
• Prototype ambitious interactive ideas for launches.
• Make it easy for brand and marketing teams to publish great work online.
• Set industry-leading standards for web design and frontend craft.
