Job summary

Blue Shield of California is seeking a strategic and influential Brand Visual & Video Design Consultant to shape the enterprise brand through visual storytelling, motion design, and multimedia experiences. You will partner with executives, communications, marketing, product, and creative teams to translate priorities into compelling visuals that strengthen engagement and brand equity.

Qualifications

Requires a bachelor's degree or higher and 4+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
Requires at least 7 years of experience leading brand strategy, visual design, creative direction, multimedia design, or integrated marketing in complex organizations.
Strong portfolio demonstrating visual design, video production, motion graphics, brand storytelling, and creative leadership.

Responsibilities

Partner with marketing, communications, product, and creative teams to govern Blue Shield's visual identity across digital, print, environmental, experiential, and multimedia channels.
Establish and maintain enterprise standards for visual expression, motion design, and storytelling for consistency and scalability.
Collaborate with editors, copywriters, and external agencies to deliver engaging visual and video experiences.
Provide strategic consulting for product launches, campaigns, events, and executive communications to strengthen brand equity.
Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, social content formats, and best practices in brand design and video production.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously with high quality and on-time delivery.
