Blue Shield of California seeks a strategic Brand Visual & Video Design Consultant to shape the enterprise brand through visual storytelling, motion design, and multimedia experiences. You will partner with executives, communications, marketing, product, and creatives to translate priorities into compelling narratives that strengthen engagement and brand equity.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or HS diploma with 4 years of additional relevant experience.
7+ years of leadership in brand strategy, visual design, creative direction, or integrated marketing in complex organizations.
Strong portfolio demonstrating visual design, video production, motion graphics, brand storytelling, and creative leadership.
Advanced proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro), PowerPoint and emerging AI-enabled creative technologies.
Experience developing and implementing brand standards, design systems, and creative frameworks for enterprise-wide consistency.
Proven ability to partner with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders, translating business objectives into strategic brand, visual, and storytelling solutions.
Deep expertise in brand systems, visual identity development, creative strategy, and integrated campaign execution across digital, print, experiential, and motion channels.
Knowledge of motion graphics, animation, video production, content strategy, and emerging digital storytelling trends.
Strong understanding of accessibility standards, inclusive design principles, and audience-centered communications.
Ability to identify opportunities, assess risks, and recommend innovative solutions that strengthen brand equity and engagement.
Healthcare industry experience or similar regulated industries strongly preferred.
