Job summary

Yahoo Finance, a leading finance platform, is seeking a Director of Brand Strategy to lead a high-performing team delivering client-focused advertising solutions within Yahoo Finance's direct ad sales business.

You will drive strategic vision, collaborate across Sales, Editorial, Product, and Finance, and leverage data-driven insights to craft innovative campaigns and GTM strategies that align with client objectives and revenue growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales strategy, brand strategy, account management, or related roles, with at least 6 years leading teams.
• Experience developing strategies across both B2B (enterprise tech, institutional investing, AI) and B2C (personal finance, business travel, luxury lifestyle)
• Proven track record of leading and motivating high-performing teams, achieving ambitious revenue targets, and building long-term strategic client relationships.
• Expertise in the financial services category - brokerages, asset and wealth management, credit cards, banking, crypto, and insurance - including regulatory considerations.
• Deep understanding of digital advertising trends, content marketing, and monetization strategies across platforms.
• Strong executive presence and experience developing and presenting C-Level narratives that drive decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing Brand Strategy team.
• Set and execute a strategic vision for the Brand Strategy team, aligning on business objectives and delivering innovative client solutions.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders and clients, driving effective strategies and tactics.
• Drive AI adoption and innovation within the team, identifying opportunities to leverage emerging technologies to enhance strategy and efficiency.
• Cultivate strong relationships with Sales, Account Management, Operations, Editorial, and Product for seamless execution.
• Partner with the Product team to shape roadmaps that drive commercial growth.
• Align with Pricing, Yield Management, and Finance to develop scalable revenue strategies.
• Develop tailored, client-centric solutions by understanding client objectives and marketing goals.
• Monitor market trends and campaign performance to optimize and meet client KPIs.
