Job summary

NANA North, LLC is seeking a Communications and Marketing Specialist to support brand consistency, content creation, and internal communications across our Alaska organization. The role emphasizes organization, project coordination, and precise execution of campaigns and events.

You’ll work with multiple brands, maintain internal channels, and contribute to strategic initiatives while leveraging social media and digital assets to raise visibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, PR, or related field.
• 2–4 years in marketing, communications, or administrative support (internships included).
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record for the past 3 years.
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Comfortable using social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

Responsibilities

• Maintain internal email accounts for multiple brands, manage distribution lists, and support internal messaging initiatives.
• Must be proficient in proofreading and able to follow AP Style.
• Develop and edit marketing materials, including newsletters, press releases, and promotional content.
• Provide messaging and content updates for intranet pages, keeping policies and communications current.
• Process marketing material requests and oversee internal award programs, ensuring timely fulfillment.
• Coordinate distribution of materials and manage swag inventory.
• Assist in planning and executing marketing campaigns and events.
• Coordinate event sponsorship logistics and RSVPs, ensuring benefits are delivered.
• Support internal and external events by assembling communication and training kits.
• Monitor and manage social media content, track trends, and suggest content ideas.
• Manage monthly calendars for owned businesses and oversee paid social campaigns.
• Understand social media strategy across platforms and report metrics.
• Upload, organize, and tag photos in the digital asset library.
• Provide general administrative support to the marketing team, including vendor coordination and compliance updates.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align marketing strategies with goals.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to ensure department success.
