Job description

Wente Family Estates is seeking a Brand Manager to help bring our brands to life, with a primary focus on Wente Family Vineyards.

This is an exciting opportunity for a creative, entrepreneurial, and results-driven marketer ready to take the next step in their career. We're looking for someone who brings big ideas to the table but also loves the details and knows how to turn great ideas into action.

As part of a lean, collaborative marketing team, you'll play an important role in executing brand strategies, developing consumer and trade marketing programs, and bringing new products and campaigns to market. You'll work across digital marketing, influencer partnerships, brand content, and wholesale activation to help more consumers discover, choose, and love our wines.

We're a fast-paced team that thrives on creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement. We roll up our sleeves, solve problems, and aren't afraid to try something new. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter who takes ownership, embraces challenges, and brings a positive, can-do attitude to everything they do.

Key Responsibilities
Brand Marketing & Consumer Engagement
  • Execute brand marketing strategies and integrated campaigns that build awareness, consumer engagement, and brand preference.
  • Collaborate on campaign development, creative concepts, partnerships, and consumer activations that bring our brand positioning to life.
  • Manage influencer marketing programs, including partnerships, campaign execution, content coordination, and performance measurement.
  • Support paid media strategy, campaign development, and optimization in collaboration with internal teams and agency partners.
  • Support the planning and execution of brand events, consumer experiences, and hospitality activations, including occasional on-site and weekend participation.
  • Partner with sales teams and trade marketing external partners to develop effective tools and programs that strengthen brand visibility and support sales growth.
  • Develop and execute wholesale trade marketing programs, including point-of-sale materials, retail promotions, and shopper marketing initiatives.
  • Create and manage compelling brand and sales materials, including winemaker notes, sell sheets, presentations, and other marketing assets.
Brand Assets, Digital Shelf & Product Information
  • Manage digital asset libraries and ensure accurate, consistent, and up-to-date brand content across internal systems and retailer platforms.
  • Oversee the Outshinery process for bottle photography, including new vintages, packaging updates, and asset distribution.
  • Maintain the portfolio vintage report and coordinate product information updates across relevant platforms.
  • Lead digital shelf content management and optimization to strengthen product visibility and the online shopping experience.
New Product Development & Brand Support
  • Support new product development and launches, coordinating packaging, product information, sales materials, and marketing assets to ensure successful execution.
  • Lead wine submissions for ratings, competitions, and industry publications, managing deadlines, samples, and award tracking.
  • Collaborate with winemaking, sales, operations, and creative partners to bring products and marketing initiatives to market.
Project Management & Performance
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and budgets are met.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, agencies, and vendors to deliver high-quality work efficiently and accurately.
  • Monitor campaign performance, marketing KPIs, and consumer insights to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Proactively identify challenges, recommend solutions, and take ownership of moving projects forward.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience in brand management, consumer marketing, or integrated marketing, ideally within CPG, wine and spirits, food and beverage, or lifestyle brands.
  • Experience as an Associate Brand Manager, Marketing Manager, or in a similar role with demonstrated ownership of marketing projects.
  • Experience executing integrated marketing campaigns, digital marketing initiatives, and consumer engagement programs.
  • Strong writing, presentation, and creative development skills, with the ability to produce compelling consumer and sales-facing materials.
  • Exceptional project management, organizational skills, and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate marketing performance and translate insights into action.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Canva, or other design software, and familiarity with digital marketing and creative tools.
  • Wine industry knowledge and passion for wine are a plus, but not required.
What Makes You Successful
You're an owner.

You take initiative, follow through, and don't wait to be told what needs to happen next.

You're both a big thinker and detail-oriented.

You're resourceful and entrepreneurial.

You enjoy figuring things out, finding creative solutions, and making things happen even when resources are limited.

You're a doer.

You ask questions, seek feedback, challenge the status quo constructively, and look for ways to improve.

You're a collaborative team player.

You build strong relationships, communicate openly, and bring positive energy to a fast-moving environment.

You're passionate about building brands.

You understand that great marketing is about creating connections, telling compelling stories, and giving consumers reasons to discover, choose, and love a brand.

At Wente Family Estates, you'll have the opportunity to help shape the next chapter of one of California's most historic wine families.

You’ll work across a dynamic portfolio, contribute ideas that make a real impact, and gain broad exposure to the many aspects of brand building. Our team is small enough that your contributions matter every day, yet our ambitions are big.

We value people who are curious, creative, collaborative, and excited to continuously improve. If you love building brands, enjoy a challenge, and want to make your mark on a company with deep roots and an exciting future, we'd love to meet you.
