Job summary

The Whitaker Grp is seeking an Assistant Manager for our Charleston, SC store. This full-time, on-site role supports the Store Manager in daily operations, merchandising, inventory control, and upholding brand standards while delivering exceptional customer experiences.

You will coach team members, assist with scheduling, drive sales through product storytelling, and participate in community events, activations, and staff development aligned with our culture and values.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, hospitality, or customer-facing environments.
• Ability to deliver high-quality service and build customer relationships.
• Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and scheduling support.
• Strong organizational and time management to handle multiple priorities.
• Effective communication and collaboration with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Support Store Manager in daily operations, including opening/closing procedures.
• Lead merchandising, inventory control, and uphold store standards.
• Coach and develop team; assist with scheduling and training.
• Drive sales through exceptional customer experience and product storytelling.
• Participate in community events, brand activations, and in-store experiences.
• Monitor performance metrics and resolve customer issues; collaborate on improvements.
