Job summary

Dutch Bros Coffee in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Store Designer I to translate operational needs into architectural concepts for drive-thru and retail spaces. You will produce site plans, interior test fits, and building elevations under the Director of Design & Architecture, coordinating with external architects, developers, and consultants to ensure quality and brand alignment.

This role emphasizes collaboration, documentation, and adherence to Dutch Bros standards, with four in-office days

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in architectural design or space planning within QSR/retail/hospitality sectors.
• Knowledge: Understanding of building materials and design for high-volume drive-thru or retail operations.

Responsibilities

• Create site plans, interior equipment test fits, and preliminary building concepts based on brand standards and operational needs.
• Review architectural plans to ensure compliance with Brand Standards and workflows.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation for standard architectural prototypes and design details.
• Collaborate with outside consultants, vendor partners, and architects to integrate changes into building designs.
• Track project status, provide weekly updates, and ensure submittals meet timelines.
• Log and manage disbursement of proprietary designs and IP across all projects.
• Build relationships with external vendors, landlords, and municipal officials in line with core values.
• Evaluate construction materials for durability, cost-effectiveness, and long-term performance.
• Participate in industry organizations to monitor design trends.
