Job summary

Subsense Inc. is hiring a Brand Designer on a remote-first, short-term contract to bring the brand system in-house across decks, print, and digital assets.

You’ll work closely with the Brand & Marketing Lead to produce investor materials, conference slides, social templates, and conference graphics, ensuring consistency with our human, clinical identity. Based in the US, you’ll collaborate with scientists and engineers across Bay Area labs and translate complex neuroscience into clear visuals.

Qualifications

• Portfolio shows brand systems, decks and print.
• Fluent in Figma and Canva, and comfortable in Google Slides.
• Uses AI image and video tools as part of the workflow.
• Can ask two right questions before starting a messy request.
• Cares about typography, spacing and restraint.
• Curious about neuroscience, biotech or deep tech.
• Available during Pacific Time and can turn quick adjustments the same day.

Responsibilities

• Brand system: build and maintain our Figma library with templates, components, icons, chart styles.
• Pitch decks and investor materials: maintain the master deck and quick slide edits for fundraising.
• Presentations: create conference slides for leadership and scientists.
• Social media: monthly posts, carousels, infographics using reusable templates.
• Event materials: design banners, booth graphics, signage and print-ready assets.
• Out of home campaigns: create billboards and digital ad creatives.
• Merch: artwork and packs for caps, tees and gifts.
• File hygiene: ensure editable native files in shared drive with proper naming and versioning.
