ButcherBox is seeking a Design Director in Watertown, MA to lead the Creative Studio’s design discipline, develop the team, and ensure a standout, consistent brand across channels.

You will stay hands-on, guiding design from concepting to execution while mentoring designers and shaping visual storytelling for food, farms, and people. Strong typography and production knowledge are essential.

Qualificações

• 7+ years of brand design or art direction experience.
• Experience at leading branding or creative agencies is preferred.
• Portfolio demonstrates brand-building and personal contribution.
• Ability to translate central brand ideas across campaigns, packaging, and digital touchpoints.
• Strong typography, composition, and packaging knowledge.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.

Responsabilidades

• Translate the new brand identity into clear, scalable design systems.
• Guide design development across campaigns, digital, email, web, and print.
• Extend brand ideas across consumer touchpoints while keeping a cohesive identity.
• Lead packaging, product labels, and retail design with strong hierarchy and shelf presence.
• Shape photography and visual storytelling across food, farms, and people.
• Develop creative treatments, select production partners, and provide art direction on set.
• Provide direction through early exploration to final execution.
• Manage and mentor designers, strengthening thinking and visual judgment.
• Foster a collaborative critique culture rooted in trust and clarity.
• Collaborate with copy, video, production, marketing, product, and agencies.
