Job summary

7 17 Credit Union is seeking a Community Engagement Specialist to be the face of the brand at festivals, parades, sporting events, and community gatherings. You’ll staff booths, engage attendees, and help convert interest into membership and financial wellness participation.

You’ll travel across the 7 17 footprint, work evenings and weekends, and collaborate with Marketing, Branch teams, and sponsorship partners to create memorable, brand-building experiences in local communities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in customer service, community engagement, hospitality, events, sales, marketing, or a related field preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
• Ability and willingness to travel throughout the 7 17 Credit Union footprint.
• Must be available to work evenings and weekends on a regular basis, based on the community event schedule.
• Ability to stand and remain active for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and assist with event setup and teardown.

Responsibilities

• Represent 7 17 in a positive, professional, and enthusiastic manner at community events and activities.
• Staff 7 17 booths, tents, sponsorship areas, festivals, fairs, parades, concerts, sporting events, and other community activations.
• Engage attendees in conversations about 7 17's products, services, membership opportunities, financial wellness resources, and community initiatives.
• Create memorable experiences that strengthen awareness and connection to the 7 17 brand.
• Participate in events throughout the 7 17 Credit Union footprint, including evenings and weekends.
• Connect with Members & Future Members
• Start genuine conversations with current and prospective members.
• Help people discover how 7 17 can support their financial goals and connect them with the appropriate team member when there is an opportunity.
• Identify and capture qualified leads and event-generated opportunities.
• Encourage attendees to learn more about 7 17 and take the next step toward membership.
• Follow up on leads and engagement opportunities as directed.
• Represent 7 17's community sponsorships and partnerships at sporting events, universities, and other activities.
• Work closely with Marketing, Business Development, Branch teams, and Community Impact & Financial Wellness teams to execute successful community initiatives.
