Job summary

Renasant Bank is hiring a Senior Teller who will serve as the first point of contact for customers in the Hattiesburg, MS area. The role emphasizes accuracy in transactions, exceptional customer service, and a focus on sales opportunities when appropriate.

Senior Tellers lead by example, support the Head Teller, and back up branch operations. The position requires compliance with bank policies and effective collaboration with teammates to deliver a best-in-class branch experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year teller experience and/or cash handling preferred.
• 6 months of customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to identify customer needs during transactions.
• Know 10-Key skills and cash handling procedures.
• Must be able to travel for training between branches.

Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently (deposits, withdrawals, transfers, checks).
• Identify customer needs and refer to appropriate bank platform for solutions.
• Uphold Renasant Bank service standards in every interaction.
• Address customer concerns or escalate to a branch teammate as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Handle daily operations including balancing and ATM/vault tasks.
• Protect the bank from risk by following compliance procedures.
• Stay updated on teller operations and branch procedures.
• Assist Head Teller with additional operational duties; mentor teammates.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
