Job summary

The Washington County Free Library’s Hancock Branch is seeking a Branch Supervisor to lead daily public service operations, supervise branch staff, and ensure consistently high-quality customer service across all service areas. This part-time position (20 hours per week) includes scheduling, programming, outreach, and coordination with the Regional Branch Manager.

The anticipated starting wage is $23.88 per hour, with benefits provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and LATI within two years; MLS may substitute LATI.
• Progressive experience in public libraries; experience directing work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates daily operations of the branch under supervision.
• Creates schedules, manages staffing, and ensures service quality.
• Assists patrons with materials, readers’ advisory, and tech needs.
• Develops programs and participates in outreach and events.
