Job summary

First National Bank Texas is seeking a branch associate in Siloam Springs to provide prompt, friendly teller services and related banking activities at the FCB Siloam Springs Wal-Mart location.

You will handle cash transactions, promote bank products, and support new account production while maintaining compliance and excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum six months' cash handling experience in a sales or customer service position.
• Ability to make independent decisions.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with bank regulations and laws preferred.
• Successful completion of internal programs.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Background check as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, efficient, and friendly cash handling and customer services.
• Follow bank policies and supervisor directions.
• Evaluate customer relationships and recommend bank products and services.
• Ensure teller balances and identify discrepancies.
• Initial and report discrepancies when required.
• Meet monthly new account production targets.
• Participate in an active sales environment with in-store prospecting.
• Attend business development calls or sales opportunities with management.
• Develop and assist personal banker growth and sales production.
• Sell and prepare money orders, cashier's checks, wires, and CDs.
• Serve a diverse customer base, including Spanish speakers.
• Maintain neat, organized teller area per policy.
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

• Under direction from branch manager and assistant, provide prompt, efficient and friendly services to customers, involving receipt and payment of cash, and to recognize customer needs with suggestions appropriate to the bank's services
• Follow established policies in accordance with the bank's and supervisor's direction
• Evaluate new and existing customer relationships and recommend bank products and services to support their financial success
• Ensure that each personal banker/teller balances and assists in identifying any discrepancies
• Ensure that all discrepancies are properly initialed and, if required, reported to the manager immediately
• Accountable for personal achievement of monthly new account production as assigned by upper management
• Participate in an active sales environment that may require in-store aisle prospecting
• Attend business development calls, or other sales opportunities, with a member of management
• Responsible for the guidance, development and assistance of personal banker growth and sales production
• Sell and prepare money orders, cashier's checks, Bank-to-bank wires, and certificates of deposits
• Provide bank services to a diverse customer base, including a large Spanish speaking population
• Ensure that the appearance of the teller area and personnel are neat, organized and in accordance with bank policy
• Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality
• Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

• Required to stand or walk for extended periods of time dependent upon branch location
• Operate a computer and other office machinery
• Schedules are prepared based on business need and subject to change at any time
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
