Job description

Job Title: Branch Supervisor

The Branch Supervisor is responsible for effectively performing all Teller duties and ensuring customers receive efficient and courteous service. This role oversees the specific branch location and its personnel, ensuring adherence to all applicable banking regulations related to deposit accounts and consumer lending. The position also manages administrative functions related to debit cards, ATM cards, and online banking, and assists with staff training.

Responsibilities

1. Ensure staff provide professional, first-class customer service across all bank operations.
2. Build customer relationships through educating them about YAB products and services and train staff to do the same.
3. Act as a liaison between Young Americans Bank and partner agencies.
4. Train and supervise bank staff according to bank policies, and assist with ongoing staff training.
5. Assist bank officers as a backup at other branch locations.
6. Help resolve customer issues effectively.
7. Assist the Operations Officer in teaching financial literacy in classrooms and conducting bank tours and presentations.
8. Serve as the primary communication link between Young Americans Bank headquarters and branch locations.
9. Supervise approvals and terminal overrides, and authorize transactions exceeding teller limits.
10. Assist with processing credit card applications and sign cashier’s checks and CDs as authorized.
11. Oversee staff handling ATM/debit card issues, check orders, stop payments, wire transfers, and account reconciliations.
12. Manage end-of-day checklists, online banking setup, and vault/coin balancing.
13. Participate in organizational planning and support organizational events.
14. Oversee supply ordering for the branch.
15. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience and training.
• One to two years of bank operations experience, including customer assistance with account setup, teller functions, and electronic banking systems.
