Job summary

State Department Federal Credit Union is seeking an experienced Branch Sales Manager to lead the branch's performance, culture, and strategic direction. You will drive sustainable growth while delivering an exceptional member experience and ensuring operational excellence across all branch functions.

The role supervises daily operations, coaches staff, strengthens member relationships, and ensures the branch meets financial, service, compliance, and productivity goals, in a fast-paced financial

Qualifications

  • Minimum three years of experience with a credit union or related financial services company, with at least two years of supervisory or management experience in leading, motivating and developing a successful sales and service team.
  • Associate degree in finance or related field, or an equivalent level of professional experience.

Responsibilities

  • Leads branch staff through hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance management, and development.
  • Oversees daily branch operations to ensure efficient workflows and accurate transaction processing.
  • Maintains knowledge of all products, services, and promotions to support staff and member engagement.
  • Manages the branch budget and monitors expenses to achieve financial and service goals.

This role is accountable for drivingsustainable growth, delivering exceptionalmember experience, and ensuring operationalexcellenceacross allbranch functions. The manager oversees daily operations, develops and coaches employees, strengthens member relationships, and ensures the branch meets or exceedsfinancial, service, compliance, and productivity goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Leads all branch staff through effective hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance management, and professional development.
  • Assignsresponsibilities,delegatesappropriately, and builds employeecapability to ensure strong operational coverage and future leadership readiness.
  • Oversees daily branch operations to ensureefficientworkflows,accuratetransaction processing, and consistent adherence to policies,proceduresand regulatory requirements.
  • Maintainscomprehensiveknowledge of all credit union products,services,and promotions to support staff effectiveness and member engagement.
  • Ensureshigh-quality member service across all product lines, including depositaccounts, lending services, digital banking, and specialized offerings.
  • Responds to memberconcerns, exercises decision-making authority within established guidelines, and ensurestimelyresolution of issues.
  • Monitors branch cash operations, including ordering, balancing, reconciliation, and compliance with security and audit standards.
  • Partners with internal departments such as Enterprise Knowledge Solutions,Audit, and Collections tomaintainaccuraterecords, resolvediscrepancies, and support risk-mitigation efforts.
  • Communicates operational updates, performance expectations, and organizational priorities through regular staff meetings and ongoing communication.
  • Manages the branch budget,monitorsexpenses, and contributes to achieving financial, operations, and member-experience goals.
  • Supports traininginitiatives byobservingstaff interactions, providing coaching, and ensuringconsistentservice delivery standards.
QualificationsRequired Skills and Competencies:
  • Minimumthreeyears of experience witha credit union or relatedfinancial servicescompany, with at least two years of supervisory or management experience in leading, motivating and developing a successful sales and service team.
  • Associate’s degree in finance or related field,oranequivalentlevel ofprofessionalexperience
