Job summary

SchoolsFirst FCU in California seeks a Manager, Branch to lead a medium-sized location. You will plan, direct and oversee all branch functions, ensuring quality member service and compliance while coaching assistants and supervisors.

Responsibilities include directing lending decisions, achieving credit union goals, attracting new members through community events, training staff, and maintaining internal controls.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent years of experience required.
  • 5–7 years of prior functional experience required.
  • 1–3 years of prior management experience required.
  • Participation in the CA DMV pull program may be required depending on assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct, and oversee all functions of an assigned location (express center, full-service branch or cluster of branches).
  • Ensure quality Member service experiences and audit compliance.
  • Direct branch focuses to achieve credit union goals and provide coaching and development to assistant managers, supervisors, and team members.
  • Utilize lending authority to make quality loan decisions and create plans to increase Member participation through quality service.
  • Attract new Members through participation in school, community, and business functions.
  • Conduct, coordinate, and train staff on school visitations and off-site presentation efforts.
  • Provide consultative services to Members regarding credit union products and services.
  • Maintain consumer loan decision authority and assist the team with escalated lending situations.
  • Direct branch marketing efforts.
  • Research, evaluate, and implement department and/or divisional projects.
  • Provide daily support to team members, including answering questions, problem resolution, and communicating job expectations.
  • Plan, monitor, and appraise job results; train, coach, counsel, and discipline team members; develop, coordinate, and enforce systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
  • Accomplish financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, and analyzing variances.
  • Contribute to organizational goals and priorities as a member of the management team.
  • Establish and implement plans with short-term (1–2 year) impact on business results in alignment with organization objectives.
  • Evaluate operating procedures and policies, ensuring the highest levels of Member service, productivity, and internal control.
  • Initiate, research, coordinate, and implement department or division projects intended to benefit Members, internal team members, or department operations.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal laws and applicable regulations.
  • Understand the Credit Union organizational goals and key performance indicators and take necessary actions to achieve desired results.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and comply with regulatory compliance and assigned training requirements.
