Job summary

Grainger is seeking a Branch Sales Associate in Minnesota. You will engage walk-in customers, manage product selection, process orders, and safely load customer vehicles. The role blends sales with warehouse tasks, requiring adaptability and a customer-first attitude.

You will report to the Store Manager and contribute to merchandising, inventory counts, and showroom upkeep. The position emphasizes safety, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and familiarity with operating various computer systems.

Qualifications

• Flexibility to work any time within branch hours.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and heavier with assistance.
• Learn and operate powered industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the entire customer experience including product selection, order entry, picking, and loading the customer vehicle.
• Look for ways to maximize sales opportunities and encourage customer loyalty.
• Adapt communication style for email, phone, or in person.
• Pick, prepare, and stage will call orders/shipping product.
• Prepare backorders and put away stock.
• Help with merchandising and showroom replenishment.
• Perform inventory counts.
• Learn and navigate multiple computer systems for customer-facing and warehouse activities.
• Perform housekeeping to meet Grainger standards.
• Agree to safety guidelines and wear PPE.
