California Bank & Trust is seeking a Branch Relationship Banker at the Orange branch to deliver a high-touch, full-service banking experience. The role emphasizes building lasting client connections, opening new accounts, and cross-selling financial solutions within the local community.

You will support consumer lending needs, handle daily branch operations, and work Monday–Friday in a customer-facing environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent + 1+ years in sales, teller, new accounts, or loan processing or related experience.
• Previous experience in a financial sales role preferred.
• Working knowledge of banking products, services and basic transactions.

We are looking for a Branch Relationship Banker (Personal Banker) to provide top notch customer service to our clients and customers at our Orange branch. Essential Functions:

• Delivers an exceptional, full-service banking experience to new and existing clients, with a strong focus on relationship-building, sales, and personalized service.
• Brings the branch to life by planning and hosting engaging events and community outreach activities that strengthen local relationships.
• Opens new accounts, supports consumer lending needs, and proactively assists clients with a variety of financial services and solutions.
• Acts as a trusted problem-solver by addressing client concerns directly or connecting clients with the right internal partners for additional support.
• Identifies opportunities to deepen relationships by recommending relevant bank products and services, including commercial offerings, based on client needs.
• Builds lasting connections by actively following up with clients and ensuring a consistent, high-quality experience.
• May process cash transactions, open and maintain accounts, and originate and close consumer or small business loans.
• Supports daily branch operations, including transaction processing and additional customer service responsibilities as needed.
• You may be reassigned to an alternate location depending on business needs within a reasonable distance (30 miles of branch location) and given proper notice.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent and 1+ years’ experience in sales, teller, new accounts or loan processing or other directly related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
• Previous experience in a financial sales representative-oriented role preferred.
• Working knowledge of mathematical calculations and standard banking products, services and transactions.
• Solid knowledge of all retail products and services.
• Basic knowledge of consumer lending applications.
• Proven customer service, interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Effective selling, cross-selling and referral skills.
• Solid mathematical, problem-solving and negotiation skills.
• Solid interpersonal & relationship building skills.
• Strong attention to detail and time management.
• Proficient in basic computer skills.

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $23 - $26 hourly depending on job-related factors such as level of experience.
