You will open accounts, support consumer lending, host community events, and work with clients to recommend appropriate products. A strong emphasis on service, cross-selling, and accurate processing underpins daily branch operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years experience as a universal banker/personal banker or similar retail banking role.
• Previous experience in a financial sales representative oriented role preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of mathematical calculations and standard banking products, services and transactions.
• Working knowledge of consumer lending applications.

We are looking for a full-time Branch Relationship Banker (Personal Banker) to provide top notch customer service to our clients and customers at our Golden Triangle, La Jolla branch. Essential Functions:

• Delivers an exceptional, full-service banking experience to new and existing clients, with a strong focus on relationship-building, sales, and personalized service.
• Brings the branch to life by planning and hosting engaging events and community outreach activities that strengthen local relationships
• Opens new accounts, supports consumer lending needs, and proactively assists clients with a variety of financial services and solutions.
• Acts as a trusted problem-solver by addressing client concerns directly or connecting clients with the right internal partners for additional support.
• Identifies opportunities to deepen relationships by recommending relevant bank products and services, including commercial offerings, based on client needs.
• Builds lasting connections by actively following up with clients and ensuring a consistent, high-quality experience.
• May process cash transactions, open and maintain accounts, and originate and close consumer or small business loans.
• Supports daily branch operations, including transaction processing and additional customer service responsibilities as needed.
• You may be reassigned to an alternate location depending on business needs within a reasonable distance (30 miles of branch location) and given proper notice.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years experience as a universal banker/personal banker or similar retail banking role.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
• Previous experience in a financial sales representative oriented role preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of mathematical calculations and standard banking products, services and transactions.
• Advanced knowledge of all retail products and services.
• Working knowledge of consumer lending applications.
• Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Effective selling, cross-selling and referral skills.
• Strong mathematical, problem-solving and negotiation skills.
• Ability to analyze customer credit data and other related financial information.

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $26.89 – $29.88 hourly depending on job-related factors such as level of experience.
