Job summary

Bankwell is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager in Connecticut to lead daily branch operations, ensure audit readiness, and support regulatory compliance. The role includes overseeing cash operations, documentation, and system integrity while coaching staff to deliver excellent service to Small Business and Consumer customers.

You will collaborate with the Branch Manager on business development and maintain a high standard of accuracy and customer experience in a fast-paced banking environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail banking operations with sales and service focus.
• Strong knowledge of branch operations, compliance, and audit procedures.
• Excellent cash handling and reconciliation skills.
• Leadership and coaching abilities with team focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead branch staff to follow policies, procedures, and controls; train for accuracy and efficiency.
• Ensure quarterly internal and regulatory audit compliance.
• Oversee cash operations including ATM, vault, and teller cash within limits.
• Coach team in consultative conversations to drive Small Business and Consumer sales.
