Job summary

First Convenience Bank in Springdale, Arkansas is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager to support daily operations, balance cash, lead staff, and deliver quality service to a diverse customer base. You will work with the Branch Manager to drive new accounts, staff training, and in-store sales opportunities, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• High School diploma or equivalency.
• Associate's degree in business/management or related degree preferred.
• Minimum of one year management/supervisory experience.
• Strong sales skills with the ability to effectively develop business opportunities.
• Proven ability to establish and maintain sound relationships with existing and potential customers.
• Excellent communication skills, leadership and organizational skills.
• Extensive cash handling experience.
• Experience working in a high volume, fast paced environment.
• Banking experience preferred.
• Familiarity with banking laws and regulations preferred.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must successfully pass background investigation according to company policy.
• Must be able to get along with co-workers and work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Branch Manager in the daily operation of staff.
• Prepare work schedule, assist with the bank balancing, staff meeting, customer care and concerns.
• Assist in the delivery of quality customer service through personal contact with customers and prospects, and adherence to approved quality standards.
• Evaluate new and existing customer relationships and recommend bank products and services to support their financial success.
• Accountable for the achievement of monthly new account production as assigned by upper management.
• Work closely with the Branch Manager to motivate staff in achieving retail and new account production.
• Participate in an active sales environment that may require in-store aisle prospecting.
• Attend business development calls, or other sales opportunities, with a member of management.
• Manage branch operations and staff, in the absence of a manager.
• Conduct training for new hires.
• Provide bank services to a diverse customer base, including a large Spanish speaking population.
• Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.
• Complete other tasks as assigned by manager as needed to include, but not limited to, opening/closing branch.
