Job summary

First Convenience Bank seeks an Assistant Branch Manager in Batesville, AR to support daily branch operations and drive customer service excellence. You will assist the Branch Manager with scheduling, staff development, and achieving sales targets while maintaining branch compliance and quality standards.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• High School diploma or equivalency.
• Associate's degree in business/management or related degree preferred.
• Minimum of one year management/supervisory experience.
• Strong sales skills with the ability to effectively develop business opportunities.
• Proven ability to establish and maintain sound relationships with customers.
• Excellent communication skills, leadership and organizational skills.
• Extensive cash handling experience.
• Banking experience preferred.
• Familiarity with banking laws and regulations preferred.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Background check as per company policy.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Branch Manager in the daily operation of staff.
• Prepare work schedule, assist with bank balancing, staff meetings, customer care and concerns.
• Assist in delivering quality customer service through personal contact with customers and prospects, and adherence to approved quality standards.
• Evaluate new and existing customer relationships and recommend bank products and services.
• Accountable for achieving monthly new account production as assigned by upper management.
• Work closely with Branch Manager to motivate staff in achieving retail and new account production.
• Participate in an active sales environment that may require in-store aisle prospecting.
• Attend business development calls or other sales opportunities with a manager.
• Manage branch operations and staff in the absence of a manager.
• Conduct training for new hires.
• Provide bank services to a diverse customer base, including a large Spanish-speaking population.
• Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.
• Complete other tasks as assigned by manager.
