Job summary

Penhall Company is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee branch day-to-day operations, coordinating dispatch of personnel, equipment, and materials to job sites. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and on-time start of work, with collaboration with the Branch Manager to forecast needs and manage budgets.

The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years in construction ops management, OSHA 30 certification, and strong leadership skills to develop high-performing teams and ensure client satisfaction

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in business or logistics preferred, or equivalent work experience.
• Bachelor's degree in relevant field highly desired.
• OSHA 30 hour training certificate obtained within past 4 years.
• 3-5+ years of experience in an operations management role within construction or related field.
• Experience developing high-performance teams through supervision, training, coaching, and mentoring.
• Experience establishing and delivering training programs based on project needs and regulations.
• Knowledge of MS Office and Viewpoint Vista/Keystyle.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage dispatch of employees, equipment, and materials to job sites.
• Ensure trucks are loaded with tools, materials, and equipment for each job.
• Monitor daily job assignments and schedules for timely site arrivals and efficient completion.
• Communicate with Account Managers and Superintendents to track progress and adjust operations.
• Oversee equipment return, inventory management, and job completion reports.
• Forecast equipment needs and coordinate repairs or maintenance with Branch Manager.
• Ensure safety regulations and procedures are followed on all sites.
• Supervise, train, and mentor operations staff including drivers and dispatchers.
• Support recruitment and scheduling based on operational needs.
