Job summary

Liquid Environmental Solutions is seeking a Branch Operations Manager to lead a multi-location operation out of University Park, IL, with responsibility for two remote sites (Milwaukee & Minneapolis). The role emphasizes safety, P&L ownership, and driving performance in service and fleet management.

You will hire and develop staff, manage routes, oversee inventory, and participate in strategic projects to meet monthly revenue goals within budget.

Qualifications

  • 3 years in management or leadership experience.
  • CDL A/B driving experience - preferred.
  • Experience managing DOT regulated drivers and vehicles - preferred.
  • 4 Year degree in related field - preferred.
  • Demonstrated good people skill, decision making ability and problem solving.
  • Must have the ability to prioritize and be organized.
  • Must be able to solve problems, resolve differences, and prioritize.
  • Computer skills; MS Office software (Word and Excel).
  • Organizational and accountability skills

  • Manage, direct, and lead all functions within a branch including productivity, overtime management, hours per stop, service quality and timeliness, and asset and fleet management.
  • Monitor daily route compliance to assure routes are performed as designed.
  • Ensure service fleet is operating at a high standard; perform vehicle inspections and coordinate with fleet providers.
  • Maintain an on-hand inventory of supplies/tools and equipment to minimize outages and prevent overstocking.
  • Hire high-quality team members and train them effectively; conduct annual performance appraisals.
  • Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of reports.

Salary Range $115k - $138k + 12.5% Annual Incentive Plan + Cell Phone + Bi-weekly Car allowance

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Communicate openly with customers in a courteous and professional manner
  • Take a proactive approach to customers, build a relationship, communicate, visit face to face and by phone, prevent issues before they become a problem, resolve any issues quickly and completely
  • Meet customer expectations for on-time performance and service quality
  • Safety and Compliance
    • Set the example for making safety the top priority
    • Ensure LES safety processes and standards are adhered to and the team maintains the proper level of risk awareness
    • Communicate safety expectations clearly and openly
    • Know, understand, and comply with the regulations & permitting requirements for all entities in your area of responsibility.
    • Perform routine safety walk-arounds and inspections
    • In the event of an emergency or accident take the lead and follow company protocol for reporting and resolution. This includes initiating a root cause analysis meeting with your RVP and EHS partners.
    • Assure daily vehicle inspections are performed and exceptions are resolved timely.
  • Manage, direct, and lead all functions within a branch. Primary areas of accountability include: productivity, overtime management, hours per stop, service quality and timeliness, and asset and fleet management
  • Monitor daily route compliance to assure routes are performed as designed
  • Ensure that your service fleet is operating at a high standard. Perform vehicle Inspections on all vehicles regularly. Work closely with the fleet maintenance providers to ensure the best possible service for the vehicles and equipment (visit once or twice monthly).
  • Maintain an on-hand inventory of supplies/tools and commonly needed equipment to minimize lost time due to outages while preventing overstocking.
  • Must be familiar with standard Company practices and procedures when assigning routes or taking customer calls.
  • Perform Route Observations to assure service quality and good driving behavior

    • Develop employees including conducting annual performance appraisals with Field Service Technicians and office staff
  • Business Performance
    • Responsible for the P&L and implementation of an annual yearly business plan for the branch, along with branch strategies. The Branch Operations Manager is expected to meet monthly revenue goals and stay within monthly budgeted expenses.
    • Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Will be out of University Park, IL, but also manage two additional remote locations (Milwaukee & Minneapolis)
  • May require some weekend on call for your team
  • 3 years in management and or leadership experience
  • CDL A/B driving experience - preferred
  • Experience managing DOT regulated drivers and vehicles - preferred
  • 4 Year degree in related field - preferred
  • Demonstrated good people skill, decision making ability and problem solving.
  • Must have the ability to prioritize and be organized.
