Job summary

Univar Solutions is hiring an Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Visalia terminal, including directing Yard Specialists and Operations Coordinators. You will manage the department budget, align with the Transportation Branch Manager, and ensure safe, compliant, and cost-effective operations.

The role emphasizes leadership, safety, process improvements, and collaboration with sales while maintaining high standards of regulatory compliance in the chemical distribution

Qualifications

Experience supervising operations and staff in a chemical or distribution setting.
Knowledge of health, safety and environmental policies and training.
Experience with ERP systems and SAP preferred.

Responsibilities

Direct daily operations of terminals and customer interactions.
Lead safety programs and incident investigations; brief management on trends.
Oversee budgeting and operating plans for the branch.
Supervise hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
Ensure regulatory compliance and quality across activities.
