Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Company is seeking a Branch Manager in Beltsville, MD, to oversee daily floorcovering branch operations. Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship.
• Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
• Must have at least a High School diploma or GED.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion.
• Must have at least 1 year of leadership experience.
• Must have at least 1 year of experience in retail, sales, or customer service.
• Preferred: experience selling floorcovering and/or related products.
• Preferred: experience using CRM and timekeeping systems.
• Preferred: Associate's degree or higher in business, sales, or marketing.
• Preferred: experience as Assistant Store/Branch Operations Manager for Sherwin-Williams.
• Willingness to relocate for future opportunities.
• Ability to read/write/communicate in Spanish.

Job description

The Branch Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of their floorcovering branch, making sure it runs smoothly and effectively. This includes managing all aspects of branch operations, including scheduling, customer service, marketing, merchandising, inventory, financial reporting, and safety. You will also manage, develop, and motivate branch employees as well as develop business strategies to meet goals and increase sales in a competitive marketplace. In this position, you will grow the company's market share by selling to wholesale customers.

This position's typical schedule is 48 hours per week, which may include evenings and/or weekends.

This position is also eligible for bonus based on performance and subject to the terms of the Company's applicable plans.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
• Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver's License
• Must have at least a High School diploma or GED
• Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion
• Must have at least one (1) year of experience in leadership role(s), supervising others, or leading teams
• Must have at least one (1) year of experience working in a retail, sales, or customer service position

Preferred Qualifications:

• Have previous work experience selling floorcovering and/or floorcovering products
• Have work experience using timekeeping and/or customer relationship management ("CRM") systems
• Have an associate's degree or higher in business, sales, or marketing
• Have at least one (1) year of work experience as an Assistant Store or Branch Operations Manager for Sherwin-Williams
• Willingness to relocate for future job opportunities
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish
