Job summary

Poppy Bank seeks a Branch Operations Specialist or Officer to support Oakmont, Varenna, and Lodge branches in daily operations and growth initiatives. The role requires strong banking operations knowledge, supervisory abilities, and leadership to staff and customers alike.

The position emphasizes compliance with bank policies and regulations, accurate documentation, and ongoing staff development. Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook is preferred, with Notary status a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years banking experience.
• Minimum of 2 year’s supervisory experience.
• Minimum 2 years of operations experience.
• Must be proficient using Word, Excel and Outlook applications and banking programs.
• Notary Public preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedules branch staff to ensure appropriate branch coverage.
• Works with staff to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Keeps current with operational standards and procedures, and ensures adherence to policies.
• Maintains branch security and trains staff in security procedures.
• Handles daily operational duties and reports, including file maintenance and overdraft reports.
• Reviews reports for the branch and approves or declines exceptions within limits.
• Performs teller duties, opens new accounts, and follows procedures for new accounts.
• Responds to customer service concerns and escalations.
