Job summary

OceanFirst Bank in Swedesboro, NJ seeks a Head Teller to oversee the teller area, deliver extraordinary customer care, and supervise branch staff in the absence of management. This role coordinates daily operations, drives service quality and cash handling accuracy while supporting referral targets.

You'll participate in training, collaborate with the Branch Manager, and promote the bank's digital channels.

Qualifications

• Excellent sales, service, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of bank products and services or ability to learn quickly.
• Strong basic math ability and attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task and work flexible schedules.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational supervision and scheduling of teller staff and ensure coverage.
• Conduct ongoing product training and enhance teller cross-selling.
• Meet and exceed sales and referral goals annually.
• Ensure compliance with BSA, cash handling policies and procedures.
• Manage teller sales efforts and refer potential investment clients.
• Maintain adequate cash, balance drawers, and reconcile ATM daily.
• Assist with end-of-day tasks with Branch Manager or Supervisor.
• Support migration of customers to digital banking channels.
