Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager to support daily branch operations and lead drivers toward safe, efficient service. The role requires coordinating routes, supervising staff, and maintaining compliance with safety and DOT policies.

You will work closely with branch leadership, monitor performance, and help drive continuous improvement in productivity and customer service. Travel may be required as part of duties.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate's degree in Business, Logistics or related field preferred.
• CDL Class A license or completion of company paid CDL training within 90 days of employment.
• 1+ years in transportation or logistics leadership preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate branch drivers to achieve daily targets and safe operations.
• Assist with daily branch responsibilities and coordinate routes when staff are absent.
• Oversee loading, sorting, and freight handling to support on-time deliveries.
• Track daily reports, monitor safety compliance, and enforce company policies.
• Monitor freight flow and route performance; report issues to leadership.
• Support training and onboarding of new staff; participate in weekly operational meetings.
