Job summary

SRS Distribution offers an on-site Branch Internship across the Northeast region, including CT, MA, MD, NJ, NY, PA, and VA. Interns work with leadership, sales, customer service, and warehouse teams to gain a practical view of branch operations.

Over 10–12 weeks, you’ll lead a summer project, shadow experienced professionals, and prepare for potential full-time opportunities through the MIT Program after graduation. Pay is $20 per hour.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a related field and graduating within two semesters.
• Able to work full-time for 10–12 weeks between May and August.
• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Willingness to learn in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Learn day-to-day operations of a multi-million-dollar distribution center.
• Gain exposure to receiving, warehouse operations, dispatch, delivery, customer service, order entry, and outside sales.
• Work with Branch Manager to understand how the business operates.
• Shadow sales professionals and learn how we build and maintain customer relationships.
• Take ownership of a strategic summer project and present to leadership.
• Participate in a 3‑day visit to our corporate headquarters.
• Build skills in leadership, communication, problem-solving, and time management.
• Participate in hands-on branch activities, including occasional lifting of materials.
