Job summary

Innovative Staff Solutions in Mattoon, IL seeks a VP of Operations to oversee a small/medium full-service branch operation. The role directs staff and ensures the efficient handling of lending products and depository services such as checking, savings, IRAs, and education accounts.

The VP will lead cash operations, recruitment, onboarding, and training while driving member service excellence, budgeting inputs, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, management, or related field is required.
• 7–10 years of experience in banking or credit unions.
• Knowledge of federal regulations governing consumer lending, mortgages, and deposits.
• Experience leading in diverse, complex operations and cash/ATM operations.
• Supervisory/management experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and public speaking skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage, direct and motivate the branch team to provide members with full range of products and services.
• Lead cash operations and branch self-auditing to keep assets secure and within limits.
• Oversee recruiting, onboarding and initial staff training.
• Increase branch productivity through training and eliminating inefficiencies.
• Promote member service excellence and lead team to deliver quality service.
• Ensure compliance with security, HR policies, timekeeping, and payroll procedures.
• Manage daily activities and establish performance goals and priorities.
• Develop, mentor, and counsel staff; participate in budgeting for AFP.
• Ensure operational efficiency and perform other duties as assigned.
