Job summary

Harris County Public Library (HCPL) seeks an experienced library operations leader to direct adult and young adult services at the Lone Star College - Tomball Community Library, supervising staff and ensuring outstanding customer service aligned with library strategy.

The role oversees the Tomball Innovation Lab, coordinates partnerships and grants, and reports to the Branch Director while fostering community engagement and program development in a college/public library setting.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Library and Information Studies or related field.
• Two years of library experience with administrative, supervisory and leadership skills.
• Bachelor's Degree in related field with four years of library experience.
• Associate degree with seven years of library experience.
• High school diploma or GED with nine years of library experience.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates the daily operations of adult and young adult services.
• Supervises and motivates staff; ensures exceptional customer service.
• Develops community partnerships and programs aligned with library strategy.
• Oversees the Tomball Innovation Lab and daily operations of the branch.
• Prepares reports and analyzes department statistics.
• Oversees grant research and opportunities; participates in committees.
