Job summary

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in library and information sciences or related field.
• Three (3) years of professional library experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct daily operations and staff of a branch library.
• Provide excellent customer service and help customers locate materials and services.
• Interpret policies and procedures and resolve daily operational issues.
• Ensure the location is well-ordered and inviting; manage the collection including promotion and weeding.
• Supervise staff: assign work, manage performance, schedule, address complaints, and train.
• Plan and evaluate local outreach programs with staff.
• Evaluate library standards and services at the location.
• Assist customers with basic computer needs and emerging technologies.
