Our team conducts hundreds of live auctions annually worldwide. It takes a dedicated group of energetic professionals in roles ranging from equipment inspectors and yard managers to administrative staff and customer service representatives to ensure successful multi-million dollar auctions.

Job Description

The Branch Operations Assistant handles customer and branch inquiries under the supervision of the Branch Supervisor and Branch Manager. Responsibilities include clerical duties, yard functions such as loader operation, vehicle recording, and maintenance to support the sale process.

Responsibilities

  1. Provide customer support via mail, phone, and in person.
  2. Process orders, enter data, and reference pricing and delivery info.
  3. Address customer questions, complaints, and requests.
  4. Perform clerical tasks like word processing and filing.
  5. Manage auction day paperwork and approvals.
  6. Follow established procedures under supervision.
  7. Learn automobile titling.
  8. Assist with office functions as needed.
  9. Record and file vehicle check-in information.
  10. Thoroughly clean vehicles to enhance auction value.
  11. Operate passenger vehicles safely within the facility.
  12. Guide visitors and direct them appropriately.
  13. Operate loaders and other heavy equipment.
  14. Report policy violations immediately.
  15. Serve as a subject matter expert for yard and customer service staff.
  16. Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

  1. Strong leadership and time management skills.
  2. Ability to work independently and resolve problems effectively.
  3. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  4. Willingness to learn forklift operation within 90 days.
  5. Mechanical knowledge of vehicle makes and models.
  6. Experience in equipment rental, construction, or related fields preferred.
  7. Basic automotive repair skills preferred.
  8. Previous forklift operation experience.
  9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  10. Alertness to hazards associated with heavy equipment and vehicles.
  11. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
