Cornerstone-Capital-Bank is seeking an experienced Mortgage Branch Manager in California. The role focuses on leading a team of Loan Originators, building referral networks, and driving product sales to ensure accurate and timely closings.

The successful candidate will have deep knowledge of residential mortgage processes, strong leadership and communication skills, and a proven ability to recruit and train staff while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 3 years in mortgage industry with full loan process understanding.
• Minimum 3 years in a management role preferred.
• Licensed or able to obtain license within 60 days in each state of licensure.
• Excellent communication skills required.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for an experienced Mortgage Branch Manager, who will bring enthusiasm, attention to detail, and a servant heart to our team of top-tier mortgage professionals. This professional will work in a tight-knit, goal-oriented team where our Customers and Referral Partners can rely on them to ensure an accurate and timely closing process. The Licensed Loan Officer's primary function is the promotion and sale of Company loan products and services to potential customers.

What you'll do:

• Develop relationships with external Loan Originators (Recruitment)
• Strong leadership skills - Manage a team of Loan Originators
• Support Loan Originators with motivation, training, and coaching
• Market, promote, and sell the Company's loan products
• Establish and maintain relationships with referral sources
• Advise potential customers of available products and options
• Take customer loan applications, which includes collecting asset/income information
• Negotiate rates and terms
• Define and manage customer loan process expectations
• Monitor and manage work-flow to ensure timely loan closing
• Maintain product knowledge and stay up to date on changes to market conditions
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations related to residential mortgage lending

What you'll need to be successful:

Success in this job relies on your time management skills, organization, and positive attitude. In addition, you'll need the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the mortgage industry with a clear understanding of the residential mortgage loan process from application through fulfillment
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a management role preferred
• Must be appropriately licensed (or be able to gain license within 60 days of start date) by the applicable regulator in each state in which he/she does licensee activities
• Excellent communication skills required
• Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills required
