Job summary

Columbia Bank is seeking a Branch Manager B in New Jersey to lead a busy branch near Fairfield. You will drive growth by deepening existing relationships, calling on clients, and expanding new business while supervising staff and ensuring sound security and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include lending decisions within authority, underwriting home equity and installment loans, and managing daily operations.

Qualifications

• Completed the Management Development Core – In-House Curriculum.
• Minimum of 2 years as Branch Manager C or 5 years as Assistant Branch Manager.
• Ability to develop business within the market with proven results.
• Effective management skills; motivate and coach employees; justify salary actions.
• Thorough knowledge of Retail Banking operations and branch reports/security.
• Able to participate in branch manager meetings and educational activities.

Responsibilities

• Directs branch activities to grow bank through management goals; calls on clients and prospects.
• Extends credit to businesses and individuals within lending authority; processes loans.
• Oversees daily branch operations; implements policies and ensures regulatory compliance.
• Assists customers with transactions and resolves problems; approves overdrafts within limits.
• Maintains security controls and risk management; monitors bank assets.
• Participates in branch admin meetings and prepares branch operation reports.
