Job summary

Columbia Bank seeks a Branch Manager B in Fairfield, NJ to lead a branch with $50M-$90M deposits. You will supervise staff, oversee lending and daily operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and grow the customer base through community engagement.

Requires 6–15 years in branch banking and a strong track record in sales, service, and operations. Monday–Friday schedule with 40 hours and potential Saturday coverage.

Qualifications

• Complete the Management Development Core – In-House Curriculum.
• Minimum 2 years as Branch Manager C or 5 years as Assistant Branch Manager.
• Ability to develop business in the market with proven results.
• Effective management, coaching, and staff discipline as needed.
• Thorough knowledge of Retail Banking operations and branch reports.
• Participate in branch manager meetings and educational activities.
• Strong customer service skills across all levels.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Directs branch activities to promote growth and drives new and existing client relationships.
• Extends credit to businesses and individuals within lending authority and processes loans.
• Oversees daily branch operations and regulatory compliance.
• Assists customers with transactions and resolves branch issues.
• Maintains awareness of market trends and communicates updates to management.
• Participates in branch administration and reporting.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
