Job summary

Graybar Electric Company, Inc. is seeking a Branch Manager-Electrical & Industrial in the United States. You will design and implement programs to maximize net profit, oversee a large team, manage budgets and ensure service excellence across the branch.

This role requires 5+ years in sales/operations/finance, a 4-year degree, and knowledge of wholesale distribution. You will travel as needed and drive strategic plans to grow market share while leveraging Graybar's employee ownership culture.

Qualifications

Job description

Become part of the excitement. As a Branch Manager-Electrical & Industrial, you will develop and implement business plans that allow the Company to achieve its financial and service goals. You will manage all resources to achieve desired results within the branch.

In this role you will:

• Design and implement programs to maximize net profit and return on sales
• Initiate new and improve existing programs to support meeting or exceeding financial performance metrics
• Monitor customer service levels, and take action to improve service as needed
• Monitor inventory levels, and promote the sale of obsolete and overstocked material
• Oversee preparation of large branch budget, and monitor actual performance to ensure branch achieves objectives
• Manage a large number of employees and delegate effectively through key positions
• Monitor activities to ensure compliance with government regulations and organizational policies and procedures
• Develop and maintain business relationships with current and potential customers and suppliers
• Monitor competitive conditions in the territory, and recommend changes as necessary to gain market share in new areas
• Develop and implement strategic plans to ensure long-term market share and profitability growth

What you bring to the table:

• Minimum 5 years experience in sales, operations, or finance required, 6+ years preferred
• 4 year degree in Business, Marketing or related major preferred
• Knowledge of wholesale distribution industry and supply chain management principles
• Knowledge of the impact pricing decisions have on the profit and loss of the Company
• Knowledge of various suppliers and their respective product lines
• Business planning and market analysis skills

Compensation Details:

• The expected base salary for this position is starting at $105,978 annually depending on experience.
• This position is also bonus eligible - based on specific and relevant business metrics.
• This role requires the use of your personal vehicle for business purposes.
• Graybar offers a Fixed and Variable Rate (FAVR) reimbursement program to support eligible drivers.
• This program allows you to choose and drive your own vehicle, rather than a company-assigned car, and your reimbursements can help you build equity in your vehicle over time.
