Job summary

Echo Electric, a leading electrical distributor and part of Sonepar, seeks a Branch Manager for Fort Dodge, IA. You will lead sales, operations, and admin functions to optimize efficiency, profitability, and customer service across the branch.

You will develop strategic plans, manage budgets, oversee inventory, and build relationships with customers and suppliers while guiding a team and ensuring safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in business, sales or operations management, including strategic planning, resource allocation, sales forecasting, and coordinating people and resources.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, Sales and Marketing or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and job experience.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain customer and vendor relationships.
• Ability to read and interpret financial reports and business documents.
• Proven leadership to coach and develop talent.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and plan effectively.
• Willingness to travel and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation of branch budget and monitor performance to meet objectives.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Monitor territory conditions and expand market share in industrial and contractor markets.

• Support training and qualifications of branch staff.
• Conduct performance evaluations and hire for branch positions.
• Report accidents and follow safety procedures with HR guidance.
