Job summary

Mariner Finance seeks an Assistant Manager to drive branch sales and customer service, while mentoring staff and supporting the Branch Manager. You will lead lending solutions, oversee day-to-day performance, and develop team members in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.

Your role includes coaching, building client relationships, and ensuring compliance with lending policies. This position offers hands-on leadership and opportunities for advancement within the branch network.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in sales, consumer lending, or a related performance-driven environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Previous leadership, supervisory, or team-lead experience.
• Outbound sales and business-development experience.
• Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed individual performance goals.
• Ability to coach, motivate, and support the performance of others.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Sound judgment and ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to learn and leverage sales platforms and technology.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to complete work timely and accurately.
• Must be able to obtain licenses required by the state.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Branch Manager to drive branch sales, customer service, account performance, and profitability.
• Lead by example by actively developing business, engaging customers, and achieving individual performance expectations.
• Coach and support team members in sales, customer service, account management, and daily branch activities.
• Help establish clear expectations, reinforce accountability, and create a results-focused team environment.
• Make outbound calls to develop business, follow up on opportunities, and strengthen customer relationships.
• Consult with customers to understand their needs and identify appropriate lending solutions.
• Process loan applications and gather required credit, income, and financial information.
• Present loan solutions and available products clearly, confidently, and compliantly.
• Educate customers on loan terms, payment expectations, account requirements, and available services.
• Support the Branch Manager with employee development, branch priorities, and execution of company initiatives.
• Help maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local consumer finance laws and company policies.
• Step into additional branch responsibilities as needed to provide consistent, high-quality customer service.
