Job summary

Prevail Recruiting is seeking a hands-on Branch Manager to run a high-volume wholesale distribution branch. You will lead warehouse operations, inventory management, customer experience, and employee development, while ensuring safety and strong financial performance.

The ideal candidate coaches teams across front counter and warehouse, reviews branch metrics with leadership, and drives improvements in service, accuracy, and profitability in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2-5+ years of leadership experience within wholesale distribution, industrial supply, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, building materials, or a similar operational environment.
• Demonstrated experience managing branch operations including warehouse, inventory, customer service, and delivery functions.
• Experience leading, coaching, and developing teams ranging from front counter personnel and warehouse staff to supervisors and operational leaders.
• Strong understanding of inventory control, purchasing, forecasting, cycle counts, and inventory accuracy metrics.
• Experience owning branch KPIs and performance metrics, with exposure to budgeting, financial reporting, and P&L responsibility strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to improve operational efficiency while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Experience utilizing ERP, inventory management, and business operating systems in a distribution or supply chain environment.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with employees, customers, vendors, and sales teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of branch performance including warehouse operations, inventory management, customer experience, employee development, safety, and financial performance.
• Lead the day-to-day operations of a high-volume wholesale distribution branch and build a culture centered on accountability and excellence.
• Coach, develop, and engage teams across front counter, warehouse, and supervisory roles.
• Monitor branch metrics and financial results with leadership, and implement improvements.
• Balance service, inventory availability, and profitability while driving growth.
