Job summary

Mariner Finance seeks a Branch Manager or similar leadership role to oversee lending activities, approve loan applications, and drive branch growth. You will coach staff, manage accounts, and build relationships with local businesses to expand community presence.

You will lead a team, ensure compliance, and contribute to achieving sales and service targets while maintaining high customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in consumer lending/financial services.
• 2 years supervisory experience or completion of lending training (e.g., BMT) or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in business/accounting/finance/administration/economics or military rank as substitute.
• Reliable transportation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to learn financial software.
• Ability to perform duties accurately and on time.
• Strong problem-solving, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Must obtain licenses to sell insurance products.
• Must work at assigned branch location.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve applications; offer loan solutions meeting customer needs.
• Retain and maintain existing accounts; meet branch sales and delinquency goals.
• Coach branch staff with actionable feedback to reduce turnover and improve service.
• Prepare and submit reports on branch activity and growth.
• Develop business by networking with local retailers and auto businesses; build community relations.
• Implement internal branch auditing procedures for records and negotiables.
• Approve exceptions to policy as authorized; resolve product/service obstacles.
• Monitor monthly expenses per annual plan; ensure policy compliance.
• Investigate and resolve customer and employee inquiries and complaints.
• Attract talent; interview candidates; make recommendations to management.
• Participate in meetings and training to stay current; adapt to business needs.
• May perform additional functions to ensure quality customer service.
