Job summary

MECU Credit Union in Dundalk, MD is seeking an experienced Branch Manager to oversee daily branch operations, drive deposit growth, foster sales, and maintain an exceptional member experience in accordance with policy and law.

You will coach and develop branch staff, ensure security and accurate cash management, and lead audits and compliance initiatives while guiding teams to exceed goals and expand member relationships across the network.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of related management/supervisory experience and an associate’s degree.
• Obtain and /or maintain Notary Commission
• Obtain and / or maintain Signature Guarantee
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with the public, staff, and other departments
• Strong interpersonal and supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and coach staff
• Ability to sell and cross-sell credit union products and services effectively
• Flexible working hours and availability to work in different branches as needed
• Saturday hours required

Responsibilities

• Drive deposit growth and foster sales within the branch.
• Develop and coach employees to meet organizational objectives.
• Maintain an exceptional member experience while ensuring security and accurate cash levels.
• Manage audits and compliance issues in line with policies and regulations (state, federal, and NCUA).
• Lead staff to exceed goals related to expanding member relationships and acquiring new business.
• Provide coaching and guidance to employees to perform at their best within the law and company policies.
