Job summary

Capital Electric in Summerville, SC is hiring a Branch Manager to oversee sales, administration and operations at the Summerville location. You’ll drive budgeting, inventory control, profitability and customer satisfaction while developing market growth opportunities.

The ideal candidate has a 4-year business degree, 4+ years in electrical distribution and proven leadership. You’ll lead a team, manage cross-dock operations and promote a safe, productive workplace.

Qualifications

• 4-year college degree with an emphasis on business, and/or a combination of relevant knowledge through job related experience & training.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical products and distribution industry with a minimum of 4 years of industry related experience.
• Experience working in the Eclipse ERP is preferred.
• 2‑3 years supervisory/training experience.
• Proven leadership and organization skills.
• Able to problem solve.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, up to 50 lbs., occasionally more, to assist customer during regular business or an emergency basis.
• Reliable, responsible, and a great work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate, meet, and/or exceed customer needs, wants and expectations with urgency.
• Use selling skills and account management to grow market share.
• Lead projects and sales staff to grow customer base and margins.
• Manage branch administration, operations, and daily activities.
• Oversee cross-dock logistics for accurate material flow.
• Manage branch inventories, purchasing, shipping, receiving, storage.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and report hazards.
• Train associates and assign responsibilities to meet customer needs.
• Provide direction to set priorities and drive performance.
• Offer market insights and pursue new opportunities with flexibility.
• Support teamwork and cross-regional collaboration.
• Communicate effectively with others.
