Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, or four years’ relevant experience.
• Minimum three years sales experience.
• Minimum two years’ managerial experience.
• Licensing within 18 months of entry; training provided.
• Strong knowledge of Business Banking products and client relationships.
• M&T Way Certified.
• Bi-lingual/Spanish preferred.
• Experience with common PC software and Internet/email.

Responsibilities

• Direct sales and business development to drive profitability and branch goals.
• Coach and develop staff, manage performance and priorities.
• Identify customer needs using M&T sales processes and provide solutions.
• Prospect and grow Business Banking relationships in the community.
• Interview and select employees based on staffing model.
• Model and coach customer service and Retail strategy execution.
• Ensure compliance with risk controls and policies.
• Own complex account servicing and escalate as needed.
• Build partnerships with bank areas to resolve issues.
• Take ownership of customer issues until resolved.
• Process Business Banking loan requests up to $250,000.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and policies.
• Promote belonging and M&T Bank brand.
• Maintain internal controls and address audit findings.
• Perform other related duties.
• Exercise authority on staffing, performance, promotions, and salary decisions.
