Job summary

Scholastic in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Branch Manager to lead our local branch team. This full-time role plans, schedules, directs day-to-day operations of distribution centers and ensures adherence to standards while promoting reading and community engagement.

Responsibilities include budgeting with Area Operations Manager, driving cost controls, optimizing packing, delivery, inventory, staffing, and safety.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Management, Business, Transportation, or Operations related curriculum preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating and assessing the team and operation to ensure adherence to company standards and policies, and optimal performance.
• Budgeting with Area Operations Manager to plan and prepare annual branch budget and achieve financial targets.
• Plan and direct day-to-day operational activities of small and medium-sized distribution centers, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Oversee staffing, training, and development of drivers and warehouse personnel; supervise execution of company policies.

Education
